Position Overview: The Dining Room Wait Staff is responsible for serving residents’ and guest meals in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Assures that beveraging, souping and busing are completed according to proper procedures and resident meal needs are met based on requests and diet restrictions. The Dining Room Wait Staff is also responsible for ensuring the appearance and the proper portions of food on each plate. The Wait Staff is responsible for working as the runner, the serving of plates (entrees and desserts) clearing of resident plates and trash items throughout the meal, monitoring for help needed in other areas, and the proper sanitation procedures followed in clean up.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures the residents and guests have an enjoyable meal with high quality service. Ensures the residents have an enjoyable meal with appealing plated food.
- Maintains dining and kitchen sanitation requirements.
- Communicates appropriately with supervisors and dining room staff and listen effectively.
- All other duties as assigned.

Ability to serve meals, understands guests’ special requests, and follows through with the service process in a friendly manner.
Education and/or Experience: Experience in a kitchen/food serving environment preferred. High School Diploma or GED required, unless an active student.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in the training of Wait Staff.
Ability to speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
