Position Overview: The Security and EMS Manager provides a safe physical environment for all Residents, Visitors, and Staff. The Security and EMS Manager is responsible for the Security and Emergency Services department as it relates to Life Safety, Campus Safety, Health/Fire Protection and Communication Systems Control.

Ability to initiate and implement necessary plans to ensure proper functioning of the Security and Emergency Services department. Ability to communicate with individuals on all levels. Ability to manage people. Ability to develop and analyze quality and productivity data to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service. Must be self-directed, and able to work productively on multiple initiatives simultaneously. Must have sound judgment, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and not be afraid of rolling up the sleeves to deliver practical solutions. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be creative in developing cost-effective, sensible solutions that deliver results.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred (i.e. Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, etc). Professional Healthcare Experience or Industry Certification in lieu of degree may be considered. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Healthcare Safety and Security related fields is required. Prior EMT or MFR certification is strongly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Security and EMS Staff
Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English.
License, Certificates, Registration: EMT or MFR certification preferred
