Job Description

Position Overview: The Office Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical accounting tasks in support of the accounting function. Responsible for assisting with administrative functions that support the operation of the department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Compiles and sorts invoices and checks.
  2. Handles accounts payable duties.
  3. Records business transactions.
  4. Keys daily worksheets into the general ledger system.
  5. Records charges and refunds.
  6. Utilizes computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies.
  7. Must have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ability to file accurately, strong typing skills as well as familiarity with the phone, fax, and copy machines.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 0 to 2 years of experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak in English.
