MEET THE HENRY FORD VILLAGE LEADERSHIP TEAM

BRUCE BLALOCK

Executive Director

Bruce has been the Executive Director at Henry Ford Village since 2012 and has over 30 years of experience across Retirement Home and Long-Term Care communities. Prior to Henry Ford Village, Bruce was the President and CEO of Lutheran Life Villages. His interpersonal skills and depth of industry knowledge with healthcare management, non-profit administration and program development provides both the leadership and creativity that Henry Ford Village needs to continue to evolve and prosper. As a graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Indiana, Bruce continues to build a career off his strong financial background with Retirement Community experiences as CFO, VP-Finance, and Controller of HomeCare.

ADAM STERLING

Resident Life and Business Development Director

Adam has been a member of the community’s leadership team since 1997 and has over 27 years of experience in senior services. As a Resident Life and Business Development Director, he oversees both resident programming and business development activities which include outreach and public relations. Prior to this role, Adam oversaw public policy and home support services for the Detroit Area Alzheimer’s Association. He has a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelors’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

ADAM STERLING

Resident Life and Business Development Director

Adam has been a member of the community’s leadership team since 1997 and has over 27 years of experience in senior services. Bob joined Henry Ford Village in 2012 and has more than 25 years of Professional Leadership experience in Facilities Management, Plant and Maintenance Operations, Safety and Security Management, and Project Management. As Director of General Services, Bob has oversight for a variety of Facility Maintenance, Safety and Security, Transportation Services, Communications, and Engineering projects at Henry Ford Village. In addition to attending Oakland University with a concentration in Industrial Health and Safety, Bob is a graduate of Wayne State University and holds a degree in Criminal Law and Security Management.

Director of General Services

HEATHER SCOTT

Director of Continuing Care, Administrator

Heather joined Henry Ford Village in 2013 as a Certified Nursing Assistant and has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Michigan since 2017. As the Administrator for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living, Heather’s role is to ensure the highest quality of care and customer service for all residents and oversees operational aspects of various departments. Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wayne State University, an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Wayne County Community College in Detroit, and a Long Term Care Certificate from Ferris State University.

KAMEL ELKADRI

Director of Dining Services

Since 1999, Kamel has been a part of the Henry Ford Village team. As Director of Dining Services, he has oversight over all Dining Rooms, Village Market, and the Catering Department. Since starting as a server in the dining rooms, Kamel’s main goal is to provide residents, families, and guests an excellent dining experience that pleases the palate with delicious options and provides the necessary dietary requirements for a variety of needs. In 2019 Kamel was recognized as a Food Services Director Rising Star by Food Service Magazine, and under his leadership, the Dining Services team was awarded Top Chef Oakland County. Kamel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is in the process of completing his MBA in Leadership. He holds ServSafe certification in Food Protection Management, Allergens, and Alcohol Service, as well as a Trainer and Proctor.

KIMBERLY PERRY

Director of Human Resources

KUSHANT SHAH

Chief Financial Officer

Bringing knowledge and advertising insights from prior careers in radio broadcasting and working with seniors in long term care insurance, Wayne leads his team with the communication tools they need to connect with today’s seniors. Wayne has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Michigan University and majored in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Central Michigan University and his MBA has a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing.
